These terms govern your use of Vector ("the app", "we", "us"), a GCSE Maths revision app built around the AQA 8300 specification. By downloading, installing, or using Vector, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Vector is distributed through Apple's App Store, so Apple's own Standard End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app. These Terms of Service cover things specific to Vector — your account, subscriptions, and how the app itself works — and sit alongside Apple's terms, not instead of them.
Vector is designed for GCSE students, typically 14–16 years old. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account (see our Privacy Policy for details).
If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian is aware of and agrees to your use of the app, including any subscription purchase made through your Apple ID. A parent or guardian is responsible for any subscription purchases made on a device or account they control.
Creating an account is optional — you can use Vector's free practice questions without one. If you do create an account, you're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for anything that happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access to it.
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Sign out / Delete account. This permanently removes your account and synced progress data, and cannot be undone.
Vector offers three plans:
All payments are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store — we never see or store your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under their own refund policy — we can't issue refunds directly.
We may change subscription prices or what's included in each plan in the future. If a price change affects an active subscription, Apple will notify you before it takes effect, in line with App Store requirements.
Some features (for example the Adaptive Mock Exam Generator and Parent Dashboard, both marked "coming soon" on the Premium Annual plan) are still in development. We'll work to deliver them, but purchasing Premium Annual is not a guarantee of a specific delivery date for features not yet built.
You agree not to:
Vector generates practice questions and worked solutions to help you revise GCSE Maths. We take care to make sure these are accurate, but the app is a study aid, not a substitute for your teacher, textbook, or official AQA past papers and mark schemes. We don't guarantee any particular exam result or grade from using the app.
Handwritten working entered into the scratch pad is processed entirely on your device and is never sent to us — see the Privacy Policy for details.
The app, including its question templates, design, and branding, belongs to us and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may use the app for your own personal, non-commercial revision. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the app's content without our permission.
Vector is provided "as is." We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app, including exam results. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.
You can stop using Vector and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to an account that breaches these terms, including attempts to circumvent the free-tier limits or abuse the service. Where possible we'll give notice before doing so.
We may update these terms from time to time — for example as new features are added or subscription plans change. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. This doesn't affect any statutory rights you have as a consumer.
